1. Credit Cards
We honour Diners Club,
Master Card and Visa Credit
Cards. However, a charge of
6% Bank Commission is
applicable on the Total
Rental Bill.
2. Fuel
Fuel is not included in the
hire rates. Cars are
delivered with fuel in the
tanks and the hirer pays for
refuelling on termination of
the hire if the tank is not
refilled.
3. Insurance
Insurance is third party.
The hirer is responsible for
any LOSS or DAMAGE to the
vehicle caused by
negligence, road conditions
or accident where no other
vehicle is involved. Full
Comprehensive Insurance is
available and can be
arranged on request.
4. Breakdowns
In the event of a breakdown,

the breakdown is due to
renter’s negligence, a
charge will be made for
recovery and rectification
of the vehicle.
5. Terms of Payment
A minimum deposit of US$
500.00 in cash is required
prior to taking delivery or
a valid Visa, Master Card or
Dinners Club Credit Cards.
LPOs are also accepted for
those companies or
organizations which have
credit facilities with us.
6. Government VAT
Rates are subject to 16.5%
VAT and 1% Tourism levy.
7. Drivers
Hiring drivers must be
between the age of 23 and 65
years of age and must have
held a valid unendorsed
driving licence for a
minimum of 2 years.
8. Chauffeurs
Chauffeurs are available at
US$ 10.00 per day in
addition to the hire rates.
Chauffer Night Allowance at
US$ 30.00 per night and is
only chargeable if the
driver is required to spend
the night away from the
Lilongwe.
9. Overtime
The hire is subject to pay
overtime for the chauffeur
at the rate of
US$ 1.00 per hour between
1700 hours and 0700 hours,
1200 hours and 1300 hours,
weekends and public
holidays. Overtime forms
provided must be certified
by hirer.
10. Car Return Policy
Cars hired in Lilongwe, are
supposed to be returned in
Lilongwe. Therefore all cars
hired in Lilongwe and
dropped/returned at any
other point, a fee of US$
100.00 will be charged for
Saloon cars and
US$ 150.00 for 4x4s and
Buses.
